Hello there, I'm Ruben Ooms, a 23year old starting webdeveloper owning a small appartement in Belgium. I started this project the 8th of february 2009.

What we'll do? Simple... Finding the succesfull startups of tomorrow. Ok, maybe not that simple, but we'll do our best... Hopefully with some good help of our future users. In our search we will help others to find new exiciting things in webland and offcourse we'll do our very best to help the new startups with getting some more attention!

How this all started? Explaining this is best done with a small example... Imagine... It's probably not that hard,...

Imagine you have an original-never-been-done-milliondollar-idea. After a period of time that probably took way too long you finally decided to go for it. Finally your project is ready to launch. Everything goes online and then... Nobody knows you're there so you try to work your way up in the searchengines with some SEO voodoo, but that does not really have the effect you want it to have... Sounds familiar? Then what? With all kinds of trics you will try to get the world to know your new website. But after two months of addiction to the Google-analytics page of your website you finally can admit that the 15 visitors you have each day are ten times you, 2 times one of your friends and one real? visitor from Timboektoe?... Frustrating no? I myself was in this position one too many times!

I would like MDS to be one of those first steps you can take before you're website is known. By submitting your website, you will have the opinions of lots of different people who can help you by giving tips of what could be improved and what's really good.

Helping others by giving them your mds-dollars will get you rewarded with more mds-dollars yourself. More mds-dollars means more homepage-time and this means that you don't get only one shot to try to convince people of your startup but lots of opportunities. Convincing the right people at the right moment is critical and in this manner your succes rate can only become higher...

And offcourse last but not least, it is a chance for you to present your new born to the world. A world of bloggers and investors who are eager to find the new promissing things in the wonderful place that is called the world wide web.
