How it works : Every startup receives MDS-dollars and when a specific amount is exceeded it get's an extra day on our homepage. These amounts are 1.000mds$, 2.000mds$, 5.000mds$, 10.000mds$,...etc.
For example this means that a startup that 40 people found interesting has already a budget of 4000mds-$ and therefore receives two extra days of homepage-time.
Because we want to reward our most contributing members we made it possible to get your MDS-budget higher by yourself... You can do this by giving other startups MDS-dollars, writing reviews or giving them tips. (This is the reason why a 3600 MDS-dollar startup can be in a 5000$ spot on the homepage.)
MDS-dollars
You can earn MDS-dollars in several different ways:
- By getting others to like your startup
When they think your startup is original,nice,smooth,... they can reward you each with 100MDS-dollar. This is done using the button: " +100MDS "
- By giving 100MDS-dollar to other startups you find interesting
- By writing reviews and give other startups tips on how to improve things
- Adding things you still miss on the web
WHY?
Why you should do this? Simple, because you can and it looks fun... For the people that need a more sophisticated reason : To get more and more homepage time and thus more exposure for your website!
The middle column of our homepage is divided in MDS-dollar spots. (1000, 2000 ,5000 , 10.000 , etc...) Whenever you reach a new MDS-dollar-level we will inform our users of this on the homepage and your startup gets shown in the specific spot for one whole day.In this way your startup does not have only one shot to convince others but many more.
